Interesting concept but I personally felt like there was A LOT of slow parts. Too much story building and not enough of the actual story. Really most of the action happens in the last 1/3 of the book. Maybe my expectations are too high from Stephen King being talked up as a master of horror writing but this just wasn't it for me.

OMG this book shook me to my core. I can understand why king didn't want to actually release this book but my god I'm glad he did. The way this book deals with grief is so raw and relatable. The whole message behind the story about losing a loved one and wishing you could do anything to bring them back is heartbreaking.

What an interesting and oddly beautiful reflection on grief via a horror/gore story.
