Ufffas, este libro fue un sube y baja de emociones para mí.
Primero que nada, debo de decir que realmente la narración de este libro es muy ligera, muy sencilla de leer y de seguirle el paso. Tiene la historia perfecta para adentrar al lector a la tensión y el suspenso.
No puedo decir que es uno de mis libros favoritos del autor (ya que no he leído muchos) pero sí que fue uno de los más entretenidos.
Ahora bien, creo que desde el principio de la historia ya nos podemos imaginar exactamente que es lo que va a pasar, a cierto punto la historia si resulta predecible, pero a final de cuentas eso no hace que queramos dejar el libro a un lado.
Por otro lado siento que King quiso abordar demasiados temas en un solo libro, tantos que ni siquiera se terminaron de solucionar algunos, unas cosas aparecían y ya no volvían a tener peso como nos hizo creer el autor, (los indios, el wendigo, el poder del cementerio, etc) Creo que son puntos clave en la historia y realmente no se les dio la importancia que debian de tener.
Acercandome a la parte del protagonista quiero decir que me gustó mucho, creo que es alguien bastante humano (aunque habían partes en donde no podia explicar su manera de actuar)
Y ahora sí, vamonos a ese final... No, jajajaja no, no y no. Fue demasiado rápido, el problema principal que se desarrolló casi hasta medio libro terminó en tan solo 2 páginas. Como diría una de mis personajes favoritas de King (Annie Wilkes) eso no fue limpio, fue conveniente, bastante conveniente.
En resumidas cuentas, el libro es muy entretenido, lleva una muy buena velocidad, pero el final si fue confuso (y sobre todo incompleto)

As a fan who typically gets my horror fix from movies, reading Stephen King's Pet Sematary was the perfect entry point into the genre. I’ve watched a few Stephen King adaptations into the screen so why not read them first this time.
The novel starts with a slow pace, introducing us to the Creed family as they settle into a new life in the small town of Ludlow. The initial focus is on their mundane, everyday routine and building relationships with neighbors. The horror begins to unravel when the family cat dies, leading them to a mysterious burial ground that turns their lives into a unsettling nightmare.
At its core, the novel is a raw exploration of death, grief, and family desperation. We are placed directly into the mind of Louis Creed, sharing his sorrow and spiraling with him into madness. It’s a powerful character study of a father who will do anything for his family regardless of the consequences. But sometimes, the internal monologues was a little bit too much for me.
However, King's writing is masterful, balancing touching moments, dark humor, and horror that creeps up on you slowly. As someone who is used to the gore of horror films, I wouldn't say the book gave me nightmares but it definitely left a lasting psychological mark. The gritty realism of its themes especially its honest portrayal of death resonated with me.
This is a classic for a reason. As a doctor myself, I can relate. Just don't expect me to move into a house with a cemetery nearby anytime soon.

Tenía un poco de miedo por los malos comentarios que tiene pero sin duda a mí me ha encantado lo que puedo recomendar es que si van a empezar a leer a King ESTE LIBRO NO ES EL INDICADO.

This is one of those novels that stays with you, quite possibly his darkest novel. I give no spoilers but likely I will never come back to it, based completely upon a pivotal plot point. I just cannot imagine the pain and horror. That being said, it's King at his finest.

I read this book because it was #1 on a lot of "scariest books" lists. I found the end creepy and suspenseful but I was never really scared.
The writing was fantastic and it kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time. I definitely really liked it. One of the best books I've read in some time.
