I was so delightfully frustrated with Bree as I read this. She did so many things that I would’ve never done. But that certainly aided the twists and turns of the story—which were plentiful, and often hard to predict. Once I picked this up, it was hard to put down!

“Don’t make your life about the loss. Make it about the love.”

Easily my top read of the year. The only thing that could possibly be better is the sequel which I will be starting immediately. I loved everything about this. The magic. The world building. The love. BREE. The exploration of grief and intergenerational trauma. The action. The entire book kept me on my toes. There was never a dull moment. Believe the hype. This was amazing.

Bree's mother has died. She's off to early college with her best friend. The first night she convinced her friend to go to a party. She sees monsters and two mysterious people with mysterious powers.

The story that follows steeped in Arthurian legends. We follow Bri, as she uncovers truths about herself and the people around her. It's rapid pace finishes in a thrilling conclusion that left me wanting more.

Beyond that, it is a meditation on different types of grief, different types of trauma, and different types of coping mechanisms. It's a story about healing and finding your place in a world that doesn't want to make room for you.

As soon as I finished it, I started it again.

OMG! I'M IN LOVE WITH THIS DEBUT NOVEL SO MUCH! 💕
Legendborn is a really take me to a whole new world of understanding the world of King Arthur's retelling story in modern way; through Bree and her anncestors.

I love Bree as a strong female character here and how she is confused and have no clue about all the Legendborn world. But, come to understatement that she wants to know and learn all of this new world to her. I also love her character development and also her relationship with Nick. It is so sweet.

I love her relationship with Sel too. It's straight a enemy to friends relationship as I myself grow reading this from hating Selwyn to love him as part demon part human. I adore William too. He is simply a lovable character with an excellent medical knowledge. A true healer.

William's ability to heal people using aether is a top notch! Well done, Tracy. A nice open-ending with the plan to rescue Nick from his vigillant father and Isaac.

Let's go Bloodmarked! Can't wait to continue this journey of rescue with Selwyn and Bree 💞
