This book is a great reminder to spend time with friends and family. It is very easy to be sucked into our phones, computers, video games, and televisions. The connections we make with family by spending time together is invaluable.

I love Peter H. Reynolds books. His illustrations are some of my favorites. This book is a great reminder to adults to spend quality time with your kids. It is simple in text and profound in meaning.

Another beautifully illustrated and meaningful picture book that is a must have for any children’s book collection. They use of color to follow the arc of the story is well done and poignant. A very timely book about an all too common loss of family connection and obsession with screens and how to find a way to rebuild those ties with each other.

Want to know one of my favorite things about books by Peter H. Reynolds? His hand drawn font! I am absolutely obsessed with his lettering and I would print all my personal fliers in it if I could

A beautiful story about a young girl who feels alone as her brother and parents become more connected to their devices. A great read for families about the importance of togetherness.

I received a gifted copy of Our Table from Scholastic Canada in exchange for an honest review.

Peter H. Reynolds’ new picture book is a touching and heartwarming story about the importance of family and spending time together to create memories. Violet remembers a time when her family used to gather around their table. But now that the family is busy with their individual activities, Violet finds that the table gets smaller and smaller until one day, it is completely gone. Violet is determined to bring a table back to her home - and her family back to the table. This is an important story for all families, especially how busy and modern families are these days.

Thank you Scholastic for an advance copy in exchange for an honest review.

I loved this! A beautiful and diverse picture book that depicts the importance of family and togetherness. I really loved how the colors of the pictures started off as a purple, somber tone but when they come together, it more jubilant and bright. A great way for kids to see what is happy and sad. This is must need picture book that is perfect for family story time!
