I am not usually someone who reads non fiction but this book was one that I wanted to try because of my love for potter. It far excited my expectations. It did touch on Harry Potter and his relationships with many of the characters but it also dove into a deeper far more complex topic of mental health and loving yourself. Tom was extremely open and vulnerable which gave the story a beauty and grace I did not expect. I have a much deeper love for Tom than I did before.

Not as sad as I thought it would be which is a good thing. Mostly just recounting his childhood as an actor with some strife and laughs along the way. Doesn't focus too much on costars who have passed aside from sharing nice interactions he had with them. Very honest descriptions of mental health and alcoholism. Overall a good read!

I originally thought this was only going to be about Tom's adventures within the Harry Potter world but it was so much more than that. He gives insight on his life before HP, during the magical fun of Hogwarts and his struggles trying to find himself after. It was funny, touching, and even emotional. Love hearing the behind of scenes. I'm totally interested in watching some of Tom's work outside of Harry Potter.
