Did you read "Batman 7: Endgame"? Then there is no need to read this! I skipped over half of the book, since I had already read Batman 7. Really, all that was added in this volume were some side stories featuring some Arkham inmates (patients?) and Doctors. While mildly interesting, it definitely doesn't warrant buying an entire other volume just for these short stories. Luckily, I got this from the library, so no money spent.

This was so good. I had to turn on the lights and lock my doors because parts of it are just so disturbing. It has the Batman storyline that is also in Batman vol. 7: Endgame, which is amazing. I had read that already so I just skimmed it this time. It's just such a good story. In this volume, that is interspersed with a couple of other really creepy and/or incredible stories. Sort of like Heath Ledger's "You wanna know how I got these scars?" in The Dark Knight movie.

Beep boop beep.

I got this book for my Birthday today (Happy Birthday to me!) and started reading it around 9AM - I finished it around 10.15AM or so... so clearly a really good book!

I don't read the Batman comics but have a varied collection of the graphic novels - and I know I have read and owned the one where the Joker has his face removed... and this this book must follow on from that one somehow. Other than that I have no real idea where this 'sits' in the Batman timeline/s. Given the ending here though, I presume that this must end an 'arc' for Batman, and presumably there has been a reboot since this was written and released.

As far as endings go, this wasn't bad. Whatever Happened to the Caped Crusader is my favorite Batman 'ending' graphic novel, but the story told here is certainly an interesting one that showcases the Joker in all his crazy glory. I wouldn't say this is my favourite Joker tale, but it helps show how smart he can be, how he is in this for the long game... so I think this could become one of my favourites.

The drawings in this graphic novel are really well done, and in my more 'preferred' style - people aren't overly stylised and it is clear what is going on throughout.

I think this was a gripping Batman tale, the Joker was awesome in it, so for me there is no question that this is a 5 star book.
