I'm sad I didn't like this as much as I hoped. I didn't connect with most of the characters, including Fortuna until near the end. And given that not much happens plot-wise in the first half of the book, that didn't make for an enjoyable read.

She makes a lot of impulsive decisions, including a big one that makes for the plot in the 2nf half of the book. A lot of it is emotion driven. And while understandable and realistic, it wasn't entertaining. It was also endlessly frustrating how she's so hyper focused on one thing that she didn't notice these glaring issues.

There was only one surprise in this ending for me. But its the ending that has me interested in reading more.

Where do I even start? This book was everything!

I found myself so intrigued and invested in Fortuna's story, that I couldn't leave it. Every time I had to put the book down, I was eager to pick it up again. I think it took me 4 days only because I HAD to do other things as well.

The characters are so well written, they are deep, round characters with motives and drives. Clearly, the most well developed is Fortuna, being the narrator and main protagonist, but also the other characters are given reasons and I'm sure will be deeply developed.

The plot was so good. The plot twists and discoveries were so well done and kept me on edge for the entire read.

Also, I found the story to include so much representation, which is not such a common thing in fantasy. That I can say, I really liked it as well.

I truly can't wait to read Restless Slumber, I need it now. I want to know more!
