This book was a wild ride that kept me turning the pages wondering what would happen next!

At times the FMC got on my nerves just a tad, but overall I loved this book, and her journey.

The romantic tension between Clara and the Prince is off the charts in these books, and I was so pleased that the ultra slow burn finally had some pay-off (even if it was only a kiss).

Some more answers about Clara's past were revealed, and I felt like I connected to her even more because of her childhood.

I was lucky enough to be an ARC reader for this book and OH BOY IT DID NOT DISAPPOINT! I love the slow-burn, push-and-pull romance between Clara and the prince. I’m always so impressed with the unique situations Mercedes’ characters find themselves in because they are enthralling and never feel repetitive. She also manages to take topics I don’t think I like (for example, fae) and turn them in such a way that I am drooling for more. I adore Clara’s cleverness and tenacity.
