If you want some light/ not too deep romance and more character development, then I recommend this book to you. The main characters might be irritating at first but eventually they grow as the story progress.

Historical romance isn't my type but when I tried this, I instantly liked it. The type of the flow of the story is something that I want.

The Cold Hearted Rake is a Historical Romance that take place in London (if I remember it correctly. It deals with some minor issues regarding with women in the society.

In all honesty, I'm not a fan of international romance novel at all, I find them cringy and toxic.
I first saw this on goodreads and the synopsis somehow made me want to try the genre that I'm avoiding.
This book reminds me so much of jonaxx books but more realistic characters in their own unique ways.

I find the characters really interesting. They have qualities that I like so much like being so savage in stating facts.

The writing was good, it didn't bored me, nor did made me feel cringy and annoyed.
I really like how the author gives so much of information, the surroundings and what was it like in the 1800s or 1900s without making it feel like more of telling but also showing.

Overall this was a shocking, very good read for me. Didn't really expect to enjoy this genre and book so much

Good but wtf was wrong with winterbourne?

Also I wish I could have felt Devon change like we saw in West. But I love the family and the Hamlet subplot made me smile. I'm nervous for Helen in this next book but my girl will learn to stand up for herself I know it.

at the beginning i liked kathleen and devon together, then i was bored with them and now, as i finished this book, i really dislike them. the best parts of this book were with winterborne and helen, so im hoping the next book will be better.
