I would recommend this book to others. It did have a Practical Magic vibe to it in parts but the characters are well developed.

I was never really invested in the plot or story or the characters whatsoever - I literally couldn’t have cared less. I wasn’t surprised by who the murderer actually was, I felt like the whole ending of the story was rather anticlimactic and predictable. There was just a hint of romance throughout the book which isn’t a necessity to have but I wish there had been more of it. I have loved other Barbara Davis books but this one just missed the mark with me.

This book was a good read. It offered mystery, forgiveness, danger, love, growth and soul searching plus special gifts of the Moon family

3.5 stars. I like the story overall but it didn’t capture my attention.
