This book had such lovable characters, well-thought out plot, and made me so fascinated about octopuses (I was extremely creeped out by them prior to this book) so one full star is dedicated for changing my perspective so drastically. All in all, a beautiful read!

Remarkably Bright Creatures by @shelbyvanpeltwrites 🐙  A touching, wholesome, quirky read that had me feeling nostalgia for my hometown and my loved ones passed and present who made it home. 🌊 Marcellus was a unique character and perspective, I wanted even more from his perspective though, and pace felt slow for me until the last 50 pages. Overall enjoyable and sweet story. ⭐️ 3.5 ⭐️ Read this book on my balcony, accompanied my coffee for some slow summer mornings ☀️ ☕️

OMG I LOVE THIS BOOK SO MUCH I DIDNT WANT IT TO EVER END. Sadly my loan from the library ends in two days so I had to speed up🥲 This book was fun but also so beautiful and it touches your heart and also breaks your heart. It does all the things. It is pretty easy to get into and I’m so glad I picked it up. I vaguely remember seeing it a long while ago and saw “octopus” as a narrator and was like nope that’s too fantasy meets reality for me. But then the amazingly wonderful Abby Bergkamp told me to read it so I said why not and I’m so so sooooooo glad I did!! Ten-out-of-ten-would-recommend.

I wasn't sure if I'd like this book for the first few chapters I especially wasn't sure how I felt about Caleb's storyline. I'm glad I stuck with it though. The mysterious circumstances surrounding Tova's son drew me in.

I am not a frequent reader of contemporary but this was an engaging book nonetheless. The beginning is quite slow but once everyone meets up things really move along. A sweet story about the complex relationships within families, between friends, and remarkably bright creatures.

This was just a NICE book! Like a perfect little sweet treat. Thoroughly entertaining with loveable but flawed characters. Time to go to the aquarium!
