They may be old-fashioned but I love the illustrations. Fun sounds and repetition helps this work with toddlers.

I'm pretty sure I read this book when I was a kid-it seemed very familiar when I chose it for my preschool storytime at the library. I used the big book version for storytime so the kids could see the illustrations better. The kids loved making the animal noises!

A sleeping-themed story featuring lots of "tree" animals (especially birds) and a funny ending. Great fun to read aloud for those who enjoy making animal noises.

I love these illustrations! The text gets a little wordy/long for the attention span, but it's still worth it for the sounds and the different animals.

So this one set a record. Daddy had to read 17 times last night! Sadly wasn't available in board book. My favorite owl book.
