This has been one of my favorite reads in my attempt to read through all the Star Wars books thus far.

It was really enjoyable to read about Lord Malgus since he's such a multi faceted character. Evil and loyal to the Sith to his core. Yet, soft and gentle with the woman he loves.

The entire story was very engaging and interesting. I found it very action packed from the first chapter and it definitely was a good read.

The only complaint I have while listening to this audiobook was the voice that the narrator used for the young child in the novel. It was horrible. I could barely even listen to it.

I had a lot of issues with this book. All the military Jargon at the beginning of the book was a bit off putting. The book is also abelist Depicting someone's disability in a negative light. Though I do like the poverty aspect surrounding this. Also the combat is really boring in this book. It is intricately described, but there's no emotion to it. no impact.

I just finished it and don't think I can tell you a single thing I listened to.

I was recommended this book by a friend who thought I would like the dark forbidden romance angle of this book. Which I did... up until poor Eleena got killed at the very end. I felt nothing but immense frustration that she was saved only to be killed a moment later.

Other issues with the book stem from typical EU problems--everything feels like a video game and every Force user is next to invincible.

I love the world of The Old Republic. It is basically what I wish the prequels could have been. That being said these books are more of a guilty pleasure to me then actual, thought-provoking reading and I rate them accordingly. Fun read, fun characters, good story.
