i don’t care what people think, it got me out of my slump
This book was a hard one to read. The pacing was slow and the writing felt disjointed and gaped. On a practical note I think it was suppose to be that because of the context of the story but it made it hard to read. Only go into this one if you are able to stay focused.
On a better note, this gave Ninth House vibes minus all the disgusting shock value garbage. So if you want the dark academia minus the crap this is a good one.

the only reason i didn’t get to five stars on this was because i never had a single clue about what the hot fuck was going on. maybe that was reader error idk but this was really good and the romance oh my GOD!!!!! top tier. just don’t expect to understand the plot bc wtf

Traveling between worlds often yields disastrous results. All the spooky things were fabulous and kept me reading. The rest of the book was either too much or too little. It tries too hard to sound smart while being wholly impractical.
- Enemies to lovers wasn't really fleshed out, too quick
- Got 3/4 through the book and was still confused as to what was going on
- Couldn't connect to the characters
