Would definitely be a 5 star if it was the first “people are dying, who’s killing?” Book I read.

Only don’t like it as much just because I’ve already read a book in this genre before.

But if you love this genre it’s GREAT!

It was decent.
Not my favorite book ever and it was hard to get into at first but loved all the plot twists.

1.5-2 stars ⭐ I purchased this book without realizing it was a YA thriller but still thought I would try it out! With this is mind, I don't want to be too harsh as I do not think I am the target audience. While the concept of a murderer loose at a spooky amusement park island is fun (and gave me Scooby Doo Spooky Island vibes), the writing and plot holes were just too much for me to really enjoy what was going on. I was bored throughout even though there was lots of action. I found it hard to follow certain scenes and that the descriptions were lacking. The ending is also a tad bit infuriating! Overall I think I learned to be more careful when buying books and to avoid YA thrillers!

After hearing many positive reviews on her previous work, this is my first time reading a novel by Natasha Preston and, I must say, she did not disappoint. I found some of the dialogue to be a bit choppy and disconnected. The pacing for the first half of the book felt a bit slow but, by the midpoint, the action and mystery come to the forefront of the story. I would recommend this to anyone who would like a good mystery with some good plot twists.
