رواية يغلب عليها أسلوب السرد ويتراجع فيها الحوار بشكل ملحوظ خاصة في النصف الأول منها .. يتبادل السرد 3 شخصيات هم ريتشل وميغان وآنا .. تقتل إحداهن بواسطة مجهول .. وعلى مدار صفحات الرواية تظهر لك عدة معطيات ، وتختلف وجهات النظر بينهن في الواقعة الواحدة .. وتتغير الإتهامات وتتبدل .. وكلما شعرت بتجمع الخيوط في إتجاه معين و أنك قريب من إكتشاف القاتل ، يحدث ما يفرقها فتحوم الشكوك حول آخر وآخر وتتصاعد الأحداث وتتشابك .. وتتوه معها وتصبح واحد من فريق البحث .. لا تريد أن تترك الرواية حتى تحل هذا اللغز .. والقطار دائماً حاضر .. تسمع صوته بأذنك .. كأنه خلفية موسيقية للأحداث يشتد معها ويخفت معها.
الترابط والإنسجام الزمني للأحداث في منتهى الإحترافية ، خاصة أن عليه عامل كبير في سير الأحداث ، وعليه يقوم السرد ، مع تبادل الأدوار بين الثلاثة أشخاص .. وإذا سألوك عن قوة الحبكة قل لهم عليكم برواية فتاة القطار.

This was the perfect book to read on a long, boring plane ride. My eyes felt swollen and I was so tired but I! couldn't!! stop!! reading!!!!! By the end of the flight I had a headache, but I also had only 30 pages left to go.
But aside from how gripping the novel was, I didn't really enjoy it. It was like watching a really gruesome news story that repulses you but you can't look away from. Like a cheap thrill. I didn't identify with any of the characters, or like them for that matter, which is fine, but made me cringe with secondhand embarrassment for most of the novel.
I liked the twist! Even if I suspected but was unsure about the villain pretty early on.
I'll probably see the movie. I might even like it a little more than the book.
