This book is an absolute rollercoaster. I read it within 24 hours because it just got me totally hooked. This is a very dark and twisted romance with a lot of dark and twisted sexual content thrown in. Alongside that is a really interesting and mysterious narrative with P Douglas flitting between the present day and the past, keeping the reader engaged and wanting to find out more about what happened three years go. Despite how fucked up the characters are in this book, I actually really dig them? I love that I can get lost in this dark fantastical story which is full of the type of guys I’ve been taught from a young age to avoid, all from the the safe confines of my own reading space. I am very much looking forward to reading the rest of the series and exploring the rest of the four horsemen’s stories.
Drops points because some of that shit I read was disturbing and also because of the high number of spelling/grammatical errors! Penelope, get a new editor girl.

Per quanto devo ammettere che questo libro non sia perfetto, e che le motivazioni e le azioni dei personaggi risultino a volte discutibile, devo ammettere di averlo trovato altamente coinvolgente e appassionanti.

Devo anche aggiungere che a tratti quest'opera mi ha ricordato di alcune scene di [book:Lords of Wrath|57053157] come livello di dark, anche se devo ammettere che mi è mancato

vedere una vera ritorsione della protagonista nei confronti dei ragazzi

. 

Altra cosa che avrei gradito sarebbe stato un RH e non una coppia tradizionale.

Corrupt is your average run of the mill enemies to lovers plot. Big scary guy falls for seemingly innocent girl he’s known his entire life even if they’re convinced they hate one another, so it’s nothing new. HOWEVER, the spice is like nothing I’ve ever read and makes up for the basic plot!
