If you're reading this, it's not because you're wanting some kind of award-winning, modern classic. It's a fun, smutty read, with a surprising amount of tension in the plot. I didn't really like the main character, or the love interest. They felt pretty cookie cutter. The one character I actually really liked was Kai, so chapter 25 was a favourite chapter of mine.

My only critique would be

the final showdown with Trevor. It felt like a badly written supervillian scene, and had me cringing with the goofiness of it all. It was so bad! Are you really trying to tell me some nineteen year old rich kid is some kind of Bond villain?

However, the tension in Rika's scenes with the group, and the whole prey/stalking thing was probably the highlight of the book.

this book is 50% assault, this relationship is so toxic and disgusting I don’t think anyone should read this weird trying to be sexy book where consent is never completely there.

this was so bad. so problematic. i saw alot of people recommending it so I thought I'd give it a shot but there's so many problematic issues (sexual assault, abuse, grooming, victim blaming) and people are okay with it? i didn't even want to add it to my read list but with all the good reviews someone had to say it. and they weren't even addressed as issues, they were just skimmed over as if these things were okay to do?
