Shattered Truth does not offering a shattering good time. It is also not offering a gut wrethching plot. It is so so. I do not feel a burning memorizing chemistry between BJ and Winter. Their attraction is so so.

Miss Hunting fails to bring her story alive.

I have absolutely loved this series and this world since the first time I picked up Pucked. Helena has gone above and beyond and gosh I already miss it. This book was EVERYTHING. The way these two love each other…

Yeah, no.

Insta-love plus a lot of things going on this book so fast that it just makes me get nauseous. I had to skip chapters just to see what close to the end would be and would you look at that, still boring.

"Make a wish." "Wishes lead to disappointment." "Wishes are hope with wings," I encounter. "Make one."

Shattered Truths was one of my most anticipated releases for 2023. And Helena Hunting did not disappoint.

As much as I love that - IMO - the story is for about 70% Winter's story, I wish BJ's story would have been a little more prominent. Nevertheless, his story is neatly woven into the book.
Thinking about it, it just fits him. Taking the limelight off himself, shining it on Winter. :-)

I love that BJ shines in this book. He's such an adorable and softhearted hero, who definitely falls first and hard. The way he consistently peruses Winter, respecting her boundaries, asking for permission and yet walking a fine line nudging her persistently, never giving up.

I love Winter's character development. How she opens up to BJ and his world of wealth. How she starts accepting help, making fast friends with the crew and found a new family within. She's soft-spoken yet strong willed. As soon as she started to fight for her dreams she starts to shine.

BJ and Winter definitely set another level for "couple goals"! They always look out for each other, having each others best interest always at heart. They build each other up whenever needed. They quickly become each others safe haven.

Shattered Truths is a definite MUSST read if you like a tender, uplifting and moving book with a touch of "Cinderella" feeling.

I've always had the feeling that BJ was going to knock the socks off of me, along with other clothing items, but the emotional gravity of this story is impactful and beautiful all at once. Shattered Truths rounds out this three book series perfectly and it was everything I could have hoped for.

Randall "BJ" Ballistic is a deeply insightful young man. He's caring, he's witty, he's seriously flirty, but also just darn likable. While he was also the one, like a wizened old owl, who offered up advice to his friends at precisely just the right moment, BJ carries this zen like quality about him, while still being adorably flirty and charming around Winter basically all the time. He's the guy everyone feels relaxed around because there are no games or pretenses about him, he's just BJ. The only place he's competitive is on the ice, but otherwise, he is very chill. While we get a lot more of BJ and his brand of quirky, we also get his family and friends' quirkiness too. I love stepping back into the Pucked world and revisiting everyone. While this book rounds out the three book part of this series, I really do wish for more because this world is fantastic!

Now, I'm not going to lie and say that Winter had it easy, her personal story is sad, and sometimes hard to read, but with that pain is a phoenix-like transformation and that is what made reading the hurt totally worth it. The moment and every moment after that brought BJ and his amazing crew into her life and it is so precious. Honestly, this story is touching on levels I never saw coming, especially when Winter had given up so much hope in her life, but meeting BJ gave her joy, made her smile, and she hated to admit, gave her hope. These two push and encourage each other to already be better people than they already are and I loved the both of them soooo much!!

This book is inspiring and uplifting even when bad is happening around them. I can’t express how much I loved their journey together and how everyone around them just amplified their love. Fall in love with BJ and Winter, it's super easy and you won't regret it.

Not all books are worthy of a written review, but this is one. The main characters had momentous things happen to them in this story. Hardships to overcome. And it was done in a beautiful and sweet way. The darkness of the events in the story offsets the lightness of their relationship. And it is very well done.
There are definitely some spicy scenes, so if that isn’t your jam there may be a few chapters to avoid. But if it is then you’ll appreciate the chemistry of the leads in all aspects.
