Was reading this novel until 5am this morning, 5 hours straight reading. Awesome novel. Loved how the Legend of King Arthur was incorporated with a fantasy twist of magic, demons, gargoyles and gods. Thank you "Kinley MacGregor" for your work. Will start reading the next novel in line in the Lords of Avalon series ASAP =)

Blaise’s expression remained stoic. “Does my king not like INXS?”

*wheezes*

This book is thoroughly ridiculous and yet I loved it. Lots of laughs and eye rolls were involved. It was an interesting blend of Arthurian legends, magic, and time traveling. However, I could have done without the 21st century pop culture references. They really date the book.

Blaise, the shapeshifting dragon, was the best part. If he’s in the other books I might read them when I need a laugh.

CW: Kerrigan (MMC) threatens to rape Seren (FMC) a couple of times, but never does.

Since I'm on the mood to read romance, so glad Sherrilyn Kenyon (as Kinley McGregor here) doesn't dissapoint :)

This was a strange read for me. I started off really intrigued, lost interest and stamina for it towards the mid-point but then was remotivated towards the last bit. Overall I enjoyed the experience but not enough to invest into more of the series. Just seems like a lot of work sometimes to learn the rules of a new fantasy/paranormal world.

Kinley MacGregor (better known as Sherilyn Kenyon) is one of my all time fave authors. She is an auto read for me because there is very few things I dislike about her writing. This one is no exception.

I thought the world building in this novel was great! I really want to know more about Avalon and it's denizens. Kerrigan is an alpha male who has a hidden gooey center which is always a bonus for me. I really got a kick out of his banter with Garafynn & Kerrigan's Mandrake (the name escapes me atm) is hilarious!

Book 2 is on my TBR pile, and I'm dying to read it!

Filling in the blanks I hadn't realized existed in my Dark-Hunter knowledge bank. I have to be ready for [b:Stygian|34330946|Stygian (Dark-Hunter, #29)|Sherrilyn Kenyon|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1511323427s/34330946.jpg|55397027]
