I didn't enjoy this one as much as the first 2 but it was still enjoyable.

Sometimes all I want to do is wallow in the literary garbage like a pig. This series is an example of this. About two or three times a year I get tired of reading horror/thrillers and feel I need to branch out. Sometimes that is falling into a cozy mystery series, sometimes that means reading a nonfiction book to educate me about something, and sometimes it means reading a totally unrealistic RomCom novel about Alaska.
I thoroughly enjoyed every book in this series, some more than others, but overall, I adore Moose Springs Alaska and the people in it. Don't get me wrong, you have to suspend belief as much or more with these books than any horror novel I have ever read. I find it amazing that I am expected to believe that there is a town in Alaska where everyone is nice, and pretty (but not too pretty, a rugged pretty, this is Alaska after all.), and the hardest thing dealt with is a Christmas light/Christmas decoration hating moose. Even the evil developer, is not really evil and only wants to save the town.
Why may you ask am I writing this review like this is the end of the series, well for me it is the end. Although there is apparently another book in the works, unless my library happens to order it and I happen to run across the series after they have purchased it, I will probably never read that next book, because I am lazy about these types of read. Maybe it is because I am a Gen X'er, and we grew up in a throwaway society of latch key kids and MTV, but these books tend to be the single serve packet of ketchup in my reading quiver. I pull them out, read them then promptly forget about them. I know, don't you feel bad for my ADHD rattled brain?!
In this, the third book in the series, we have a mountain climber and a washed up Hollywood starlet who wants something more for herself and her career. Even from that description you just know sparks are going to fly..... and of course they do. I'm not going to ruin the ending for you but...................................................................................................................

They end up together. (said in a stage whisper)

If you want to wallow in a great RomCom novel, try picking up the "Moose Springs, Alaska" series and wallow away!

(Somehow, I don't think Sourcebook Casablanca is going to be asking me to write their next book jacket, or putting my review of this series in their advertising.)

I have been (not so patiently) waiting for Easton's story and I was so excited to get this ARC from NetGalley.

Easton Lockett is your average strong but silent type and has showed up in Sarah's previous novels as a supporting character, but now he gets his time to shine when a film crew comes into town.

River Lane is an actress whose career is taking a bit of a nosedive and she is testing the waters as a director. But she's being met with some resistance from the townsfolk in Moose Springs, Alaska. After being denied permit after permit to film in town, she and her crew decide to take on the Old Man (what locals call Mount Veil) and Easton is their climbing guide.

I loved River and Easton as a couple and their banter back and forth. This one has been my favorite of the Moose Springs series so far!

I loved this book. I thought it was the perfect farewell to Moose Springs as the final book.
This book goes into Easton and his love story. Throughout the series Easton is shown as not quite the talker, but I loved how this book grew Easton's character and showed his emotional depth. Easton's love interest is a washed up Hollywood actress looking to make a big break in directing a film on Moose Springs to hike up the tourism. This almost impossible project leads to the close proximity that gives River (the actress) and Easton the chance to fall for each other.
Overall, I found this book so much fun as it had the same pacing and feel of the other two installments, but also had enough added that it did not feel like the same story again.
I cannot say how much I enjoyed this series.
Recommended for anyone looking for a cute winter romance with a close proximity, grumpy-sunshine trope.
