This was pretty good until the last few paragraphs, but especially the last line. The twist was interesting, and while I didn't really understand it, I just let it be. But that last line was like a punch in the face.I spent the entire book getting invested in Ross's character development for it all to be thrown away. Character wise it makes sense, but it sucks story wise.
Also I hate Devroe.Even before he was revealed to be in on it the whole time , he was such an a-hole. I was optimistic at first because I'm a fan of "enemies to lovers but only one of them is going through the arc". But he was so frustrating to read. He felt so entitled to Ross's love and got so angry whenever she didn't reciprocate his affection. She should have got with Noelia instead.
I've ranked it three stars because everything else was so good. I loved all the tense moments. I was on the edge of my seat the whole time. The stakes were perfectly high. I love Kyong-son and Mylo and wish we could see more of them.
I know there's a sequel which I do think I will read. I hope that they rectify some of my complaints and keep the same high stakes. I just really hope that Ross and Devroe don't get together.

Je ne me suis même pas vue lire ce livre… Je l’ai mangé. Il tient en haleine, les liens sont bien tissés, les caractères propres à chacun’e, c’était franchement génial. Mon coup de cœur 2024 à cet instant.
