This somewhat obscene novel successfully created a multilayered world that we travel across yet seem to barely scratch the surface. It reminded me a bit of the game Smallworld come to life in some of its geopolitics.
The main character walked an intriguing line between absolute mayhem and thoughtful responsibility, which I enjoyed. I imagine I will pick up the next one at some point.

Fantastic world building. A story full of character. Actually funny enough that I barked out a laugh a half dozen or so times. And the narration by the author - with their thick Irish accent - makes for one of the best audiobooks I've experienced.
