Incredibly funny story with lots of rhyming. The pictures were fantastic as well. My 4-year-old had a great time with this one. It's nice to have a good silly book to get those belly chuckles out!

Would be great for two voices and has potential as a flannel story.

Silly and rhyming? Sign me up! This title is always a hit during storytime. I read it aloud again and again and the kids never tire of it!

It started out strong, but some of the "rhymes" were not great. I can't teach slant rhyme or sight rhyme to preschoolers, so this probably won't work in a storytime, unfortunately.

For: animal/rhyme fans; readers wanting a silly book.

Possible red flags: discomfort and being told to do things "because that's the way it is."

This book would have been great were it not for the near rhymes, like "Gophers sit on sofas" and "Mules sit on stools."

"It's not about being comfortable, it's about doing the right thing" said the cat.
