I keep falling more and more in love with these characters and this family! I love all the Bridgertons so much. Even when they make mistakes, or are just straight up wrong, I love them.
And Benedict! Oh, his connection to Sophie. The way they are sort of drawn together by a force unseen, but somehow felt by both of them. The way they can both aggravate each other to the point of needing to punch something, to the way they can make each other melt with just a single look or word. I thought I loved Daphne and Simon's story best. I thought that would always be the case. I was so wrong! (Still love them, but I can't help it, I absolutely LOVE Benedict and Sophie!)
This story gave me slight Cinderella vibes in the beginning. It's not a full-blown retelling or anything like that, so don't go misinterpreting. But I did get that vibe in 'Part 1' of this book. The rest of it, however, is more a story unto itself, and is where it diverges from a strictly Cinderella resemblance and sort of becomes a fairytale all it's own.
The ending is my absolute favorite part. (Not that I didn't love it as a whole, but that ending?! OMG!) I love Mama Bridgerton. I will always love Mama Bridgerton. But this woman, let me tell you. You have never seen such a sweet, albeit fiery woman, go from 0-to-60 in such a short period of time. Like a lioness she was (in my opinion.) Coming with Benedict to help save the day and, ultimately, being one of the main reasons that it was possible for everything to work out in the end. This woman loves her children the way we wish all mothers loved their children (like my Mama loves me, honestly).
Oh, and the evil woman whom I shall not name, but whom I hate with every fiber of my being? I cannot express how satisfied I am with her end of this deal. (No spoilers, but I can still see her shaking in her fury even after I've put the book down.) It shows how good the book was, that even after I've put it down, I'm still thinking about this scene and smiling at the end result.
I've said it before, but I'm saying it again. Julia Quinn, you are magic. I cannot wait to jump into the fourth book. (And now I'm definitely gonna have to make a B&N run to pick up the remaining four that I don't already have.) Love, love, love this series!

This was my first Bridgerton book and I loved how easy and fun it was to read! The Cinderella inspired aspect was so fun and I loved the dynamic and witty back and forth between Benedict and Sophie. The ending was perfect and I even loved the epilogue just as much! 🩷 Simple, sweet, and romantic which made this an easy and wonderful read💕
