Cute and fun. I think it would be better for K-2.

Because who wouldn't want to read about a potato that is excited to go buy some potato pants at Lance Vance's Fancy Pants store? Darling illustrations, great humor, and a sweet lesson about apologizing.

Poor Potato is afraid to go into the store that's having a potato pants sale, because he's afraid that Eggplant, who pushed him into a wastebasket the day before, will try to push him again! Funny and cute with a lesson about being brave. For storytime at the library, we're going to design, color, and pin paper pants to potatoes!

I really dislike this kids book and I'm disappointed it was nominated for our state award. It's just strange but not in a good/funny way. My children didn't really enjoy it at all either. The best part of the book was the fun run read "Lance Vance's fancy pants sure". I could see a little bit of the social emotional parts of the book, but the are many other better books and ways to teach that.

A fun, silly, and funny book that would especially be enjoyed by kids in early elementary.
