Punch and Judy shows (and how evidently rigidly structured they are) must be one of the oddest part of British culture.

This is an extremely short short story, so simple in its setup it reminds me of a single-panel cartoon in text form. Tolerably cute.

I LOVED the death cameo in there, where Carrot questions Death as a murder witness! And Captain Vimes has a great quote - he longs for logic on the discworld like somebody longs for ice in a desert - would be amazing, but just doesn't fit into this world.

Very fun up until the ending, which I didn't get. From the comments I gather it is

a joke about something called Punch & Judy.
