I wrote this book so I'm terribly biased. Over five years of work went into this novel between multiple rewrites, edits, and fixes. I am so proud of the work I'm putting out into the world and I hope you will love the world and characters and share that love with other bookish people in your life.

But this isn't a review-it's a reader's guide. Here is some information that may help you.

Name Pronunciation:
Aisling = Ash-Lynn
Riordan = Rear-Done
Brynach= Bry-Knock
Firinne= Fir-en
Phlyren= Fl-er-in

What to Expect:
Queer and diverse characters
Polyamorous relationships with open and honest communication
Found family friend groups
Witty Banter
Spicy scenes!

Content Warnings Include:
Death of a parent/loved one
Fire/burning
Anxiety Disorder and Panic Attacks

Off page minor mention of cancer and homophobia

Thank you for letting A Curse in Ash onto your shelves and into your hearts.

Fae, Gays, & Witches. The perfect combination for the most magical setting.
If you’ve been looking out for an Adult book with all of the above but somehow still need more convincing, this book has:
An Irish love interest, polyamory, STUNNING communication and boundaries throughout, magic, mystery, diversity, and exceptional world building. Not to mention that this is very much character driven with fast-paced writing, and a plot that has me staring wistfully out the window awaiting book 2 like it’s my lover off at war fighting a mysterious darkness that threatens the world.

My bisexual heart doesn’t know where to begin between Ash, Brynach, and Riordan. I love them all and can’t wait to see where the story takes them. Every character is fully fleshed out and living rent free in my brain. The writing style is so refreshing, funny, and immersive. It’s so easy to get lost in this world, and picture it vividly along the way. I can’t wait to see more of these characters (and find out what the hell is going on at the end). 😳

 A very solid fae story. In the centre of the story is a mystery involving people falling asleep and not waking up. Our main characters are trying to solve this while detangling their complicated relationship with one another. They were cute, loveable and most importantly relatable. I also loved the steam ;) Brynach is THE BEST :D
