I was passionately devoted to these in the early nineties, but they've aged less well than most of my other reading from those days. And oh, Lord the clothes! Striped pedal-pushers are never advisable, even in 1987.

This is the next installment of the Baby-Sitters club graphic novels! I have loved these books as a kid so being able to read them as graphic novels is great! I love the artistry and it moves so fast! Such an amazing series for all ages!!

The BSC changed my life in the 5th and 6th grade. My friends and I would coordinate so that we could read all of the books. I remember writing to Ann M. Martin to get her autograph. I thought it was amazing that she actually responded to me! I think this was one of my favorite in the series. I must have read it about 18 times. :)

Reread for #BSC #bookaday

Oh Stacey, Stacey, Stacey. How could you not see that the lifeguard was using you. I saw it when I was your age and read this book. Anyone who only talks to you when they want something is using you. And to abandon Mary Anne to talk to him- not cool.

I am happy that Stacey did find "love" in the book, but I am even happier that Mary Anne did. Good for her! I love watching her come out of her shell.

My favorite parts:
*When Karen and Andrew cleaned the car. I laughed and cringed!
*When Stacey works with Byron about his fears. So touching!

I read the book not too TOO long ago but the graphic novel does a good job of balancing Stacey's boy craziness with Mary Anne's fury. And the colors in this one are gorgeous.

Stacey was always my favorite (most likely because she had curly hair, but y'know) but this book is probably my least favorite in the series so far. I mean, I realize I'm a grown woman reading these books, but 12-year-old romances don't stand the test of time very well. I don't even think I loved this one when I was 8.
