Have you ever wanted to read a novelisation of a shitty horror movie with terrible dialogue from the 00's where the only redeeming factor is the monsters from the woods?

Then this is the perfect read for you.
Otherwise, I wouldn't bother.
I'm pretty bummed that I didn't enjoy this novel more, as it is my second Ania Ahlborn read, and neither of them impressed me.
I even unintentionally read this IN A SNOWY MOUNTAIN CABIN.
Still, I was only vaguely intrigued by the monsters themselves, and didn't find any of the characters to be sympathetic or three-dimensional in the slightest.

It had its moments, but over all it was pretty boring without a solid payoff.
