3.5 stars. Cryptids, blizzards, and siblings stuck in a cabin. Entertaining but not original.

DID NOT FINISH: 60%

It seemed like there was more of a focus on the group and their drama instead of the creatures in the woods and the mystery with them during the first half of the book. The characters also had a lot of flaws which made it hard for me to connect with them.

I really enjoyed reading this book. It was a fun read, I thought the creatures were cool. The ending was satisfying. Great creature feature.

The gore and the creatures were fun and all but for me the characters and the story fell flat.

This is a creepy, exciting, fast paced horror. The action starts right away and there are bits of it thrown in to keep the tension up. I didn’t think I would like the characters as much as I did but as I continued reading I grew more and more attached to them. Phenomenal read and would be perfect for winter.

I really enjoyed this book its a bit slow at the start but has all the horror elements, the tension, the build up to the main event, but I wasn’t too sure of the ending… left you with questions but overall this is a well written horror book set in a cabin on the mountainside

This was a 2.5

This was a buddy listen with @readbymisty while on a road trip!

I had heard amazing things about this book and while it had all the things I love in a horror novel the characters made it fall flat. There was tension, suspense, and creepy monsters. Sadly I couldn't get attached to any of the main characters (but yet loved the side characters who didn't even last more than 1 chapter).

I usually love Ania but this one didn't make the cut.
