This was a solid creature feature, especially for fans of the genre. While it's not quite my cup of tea, I can still appreciate the strong writing and well-drawn characters. The vivid descriptions brought the story to life, and the ending was so good! it truly felt like watching a movie unfold.

The Shuddering might not be anything exceptionally new: a group of friends trapped in snow cabin forced to fight unexpected woodland creatures. But Ania Ahlborn fills the story with juicy character moments and tense monster movie action. Fans of the video game Until Dawn won’t want to miss this one. (3.5/5)

Oh, my that was exciting and scary. I knew it would be, but wow. Okay, so it was a little too gory for me or it would get a 5 star rating, but that it just personal taste. I would totally recommend this book to someone who wants to be scared by a page turner on a cold winter's night.

The way the book tried to villainise April was kinda insane. All these characters are so unintentionally unlikeable, except the one character author was trying to tell me to hate. No thanks. The horror aspect was great, when it was there, but I was honestly cheering whenever one of these people died.
