Pace was a little slower than Fool's Assassin and it could have perhaps used some tighter editing to help the story move along. I raced through the second half of the book as the plot was very compelling. Less POV from Bee in this one which I did miss. Another cliffhanger end leaving me wanting more!

Obsessed with the last third of the book, pulling all the previous books' characters and plots together, love it. The first part was a bit slow and sometimes Fitz was annoying but I still enjoyed the whole thing overall

This review may be a bit incoherent because I loved it too much to have coherent thoughts about it and I stayed up way too late to finish it...

"Fool's Quest" mainly follows Fitz's realization of what happened at Withywoods while he was away and his search first to find Bee and then to avenge her after she is supposedly lost in the Skill Pilars. He is constantly torn between duty (especially now that he is regarded as a prince) and love, between helping the Fool and helping Bee. Other side characters include the faithful stable boy Perserverence, the wily servant Ash/Spark, and of course the ever-scheming Chade and his spoiled illegitimate children, Shun/Shine and Lant.
