Three unrelated novellas are present, yet in the first story, the buildings where each story takes place are mentioned to be seen from a park. These are odd, disturbing stories that get progressively weirder, I loved it!

1. The Diving Pool - A high school girl is in love with her foster brother and watches him practice diving every day after school. But does he know she's there? A dark and disturbing story which chilled me. (5/5)

2. Pregnancy Diary - A woman records the pregnancy of her sister in a diary. The pregnancy seems off in some way. This is just plain weird. I don't know what it all means but, I enjoyed it. (3/5)

3. Dormitory - These stories just get weirder and weirder. A woman takes her younger cousin to the out-of-the-way dormitory she stayed at during college run by a triple amputee with one leg. Very very strange. (4/5)

There are three short stories in this book.
The diving pool: boring and incest-y. Did not finish
Pregnancy diaries: entertaining and covered body issue topics
The dormitory: I loved reading this story. This is exactly what Ogawa does best. Writing weird ass stories that make you do a double read/take.

The Diving Pool: 2/5
Pregnancy Diary: 3/5
Dormitory: 4/5

Sveukupno: 3/5

Drie prachtige (duistere) verhalen.
