The yellowish color scheme isn't my favorite, but the rhyming couplets are a pleasure to read aloud. I appreciate the accurate details of the various Parisian sites and the fun-loving character of Madeline that comes through in so few words and illustrations.

Very poetic. Found it a bit dark but I love it.

Wonderful, sweet read children's read (but absolutely enjoyable for adults as well).
Would highly recommend!

I like the pictures best. We read this one in English and in French together.
This was my favourite picture book growing up so finding an edition in French was such an experience. Still a sweet and enchanting story.
And honestly Madeline is #goals, what a great little lass!
I count this only in my reading challenge because I read it it French and that's pretty flipping impressive to me. Thank you, thank you.

Loved this book when I was a child and enjoyed sharing it with my son.
