This is a timeless story about a french school girl in the beautiful city of Paris. The artwork in this book is beautiful and adds so much more to the story! I have read this book when I was a child and reading it now as an adult is just as wonderful! Madeline is quite the adventurous little girl and sometimes gets herself into trouble! No spoilers here! Read it if you choose! :)
I love revisiting old childhood favorites now that I’m older. I forget how much joy can be found in those memories!

This is a cute book about a little girl who is unique and then becomes ill. Once she is getting better her friends want to be like her and have a scar too. The pictures are cute and colorful for the children to follow.
Great childrens book! Not much to say about it but it was my favourite growing up!

I'm reading books in French to practice my reading comprehension. This just holds so much nostalgia from my childhood.
This didn't do a whole lot for me. The rhymes were cutesy and occasionally strained, and for all Madeline is supposed to be a towering figure in the picture book world I don't much care about her. I liked the illustrations better than the text; there were visual details of wry humour in there that I appreciated (the little girl up on the chair avoiding the kitchen mice was my favourite, I think).
