Ignore the fact that this is bdsm. The fact is alluded to but the action of it is vague and almost an out of body experience which is how we the reader see it. This was a story so tender and full of love it was impossible not to enjoy it.
Nice little short with two career Marines who've had to keep their 22 year relationship a secret, now with the repeal of DADT one of them is struggling to know what his place will be in the other's life.
Little light bondage and a sweet ending make this a cute little 30 minute read and now I want to read the full length novelisation.

Decent-to-good he loves me/he loves me not short story involving 2 military men immediately after the repeal of DADT, wrapped around a BDSM sex scene that did nothing for the plot or character development, or me.
I honestly don't know what rating to give this. It was a short story, it was nice but it didn't contain anything that would make me want to read it again or really recommend it to someone.
Very sweet, very hot novel about two Marines who loved each other for 22 years but could not be together because of DADT. Well it's been repealed and both are retiring from the military. I liked that they has a relationship established as the book opens so readers don't have to do any of that early angst. I also liked that there was a bit of kink in their relationship that was well integrated. None of this neon sign blinking "THIS IS BDSM" It's just what they do as part of their sex life. Nicely done!! These guys really love each other and that leaps off of the page. Strong writing, lots of varied sex scenes. Particularly like the fact that they are in their early 40s. Not 20 somethings that we usually see.
3.5 stars. Despite never fully defining their relationship for over two decades, Gunny and Mac are two of the most emotionally apt fictional men I have ever read. The social conflict in this story is not usually what I grab military novels for, but discovering their passionate relationship, despite the odds, was an excellent way to pass a few hours.
