I got 4 hours sleep last night because I just HAD to finish this book. *Yawn* But it was so worth it.

But WOW this book...I can't even...so many FEELS! Hands down, the most emotionally draining book I've ever read. I thought Acheron's book was horrific and I remember crying like a little baby but Styxx's book...it destroyed me. I can honestly say I had to put the book down SO many times because I was crying so much and couldn't read my kindle. (And yes, I totally know this is 'just' a book. But my poor Styxx! *Hugs kindle*) This book made me actually HATE some characters that I use to love. It amazes me how Ms. Kenyon can write these heartbreakingly sad stories but make them SO good every time.

Needless to say if you're a Dark Hunter fan drop everything you're doing and read this book. (By far the best of Ms. Kenyon's work in my opinion) If you've never touched a book by this author then I suggest you start from book one of this series. You won't regret.

Now I'm going to stop ranting about this book and go cry in a corner. Much love <3

P.S: Styxx is mine bitches!

And i thought Acherons book was bad this is far far worse!

Prince Styxx of Didymos, not only has been raped tortured and shunned by his family.... he ends up trapped for thousands of years in his own personal torture..... this book had me sobbing!!!!!

After a horrid childhood where Styxx is beaten, Raped and hated, he meets his Beth and from there a romance is started that could shake the foundations a love that spans lifetimes.....

But this book ensures Styxx has to move swiftly from one tragedy to another completely in solitude

Even begging his own brother who cant look past his own prejudices to the truth, Styxx is left to suffer without even being able to pass on and be with the only ones who loved him.....

I never thought Kenyon could make me feel anything for Styxx But i loved him! this book made me Hate Acheron, it contradicts everything about him..... Im still not completely over it.... In my eyes hes no where near to making up what he helped put Styxx through and did to him!!!

Holy misogynistic retconning rape-filled torture-porn-palooza, Batman! Just barely didn’t DNF in the misery-laden first half of this tome. Glad I stuck with it, because damned if the Acheron Styxx reconciliation at the end didn’t do it for me. But I definitely could have done without the 700 pages of systematic (and repetitive) sexual, physical, and emotional abuse the author seems to have thought was necessary to make Styxx sympathetic enough for the reconciliation to happen. I also didn’t appreciate that this romance almost entirely lacked in actual romance. Styxx and Beth felt like an afterthought, even for the part where Beth *wasn’t* temporarily fridged.

WOW!! And now we know the rest of the story (or most of it anyway). This was phenomenal!!! So hard to read in some places it will make you cry tears of rage, pain, joy, and hope. Hop on the roller coaster and enjoy the ride. It's absolutely worth every minute and, hopefully, along the way maybe we'll all learn something about love, trust, loyalty, and forgiveness.

Junto con Acheron, son los dos mejores libros de esta serie, sobretodo me gusta el saber que Styxx no es tan hdp como nos hacen creer en los primeros libros, tiene una razon logica... simplemente me encanta

I LOVED LOVED LOVED this book. All along I thought that I would only ever truly love Acheron's Story, but this... this explains more details than I ever could have imagine. The one person who you'd think was the scum on the bottom of your shoe turns out to be the one who's suffered ten-fold and has a right to be selfish. By far, my absolute favorite story line of the series.

When I read Acheron's book I hated Styxx but this just goes to show you there are two sides to every story and Styxx ended up having it worse than even Acheron could imagine.

Yes I have to confess it did drag on in parts but overall the story was interesting and really tied everything together. Seeing the same event from different perspectives completely changes the whole thing.

DNF.
This was EXTREMELY upsetting. Acheron’s book almost made me quit the series entirely, but I stuck with it because I was eager to get to Styxx. But the abuse and trauma is even more gratuitous in Styxx than in Acheron! IT IS NOT FUN OR ENTERTAINING TO READ ABOUT SEXUAL ABUSE.

I skipped ahead to see when we’d get to the modern day stuff and away from the torture porn and it’s not until 600 pages later!

No. NO. I am not doing this again. I’m out.

I cannot wait to return this book to the library and get the bad juju out of my house.
