Yeah I take back all the skepticism I had when this book started circulating instagram and TikTok. Besides the smut being delicious I was not expecting an actual sweet romance. I am rooting for Tyler and Poppy, and could read a whole series of just them.

New kink unlocked?

There was not really a backstory but I loved it regardless and it made me sad.

okay i will admit that part of me wants to tell y’all to look away, but honestly… this was a good book and i’m really glad i read it.

typically books like this are all spice, but what i was delighted to find out is how well priest perfectly balanced spice, romance, and plot. i was thoroughly enjoying the development of the romance between poppy and tyler. it was so unexpected.

the plot is also so well written. all of the side plots and side characters were phenomenal and i enjoyed the legitimate discussion of religion and it’s importance and how it is supposed to fit into people’s lives. i blame the religious trauma for initially making me want to read this, but i also think that some of the points brought up by tyler and poppy and some of the other characters mildly healed my wounds and i think that that is a wonderful thing.

Probably the first smut book I've read where I really enjoyed the plot. I feel like, on some weird level, this book helped me conquer some of my religious trauma... don't know what that says about me but oh well haha
