This book fell flat for me and I was puzzled why it has garnered high reviews on various platforms. It's hard for me to give it a proper review without revealing too much, but I will say that if I hadn't gotten to the author's spoiler alert at the end, I would've given this book a lower rating - it lacked character development and the usual twists and turns of a thriller. The spoiler alert made me understand why I was underwhelmed and shouldn't rate it so harshly, as I could see why some readers would easily give it 5 stars.
