I enjoyed this book, so so much. The tropes were super fun and tropes that I adore, including brother’s best friend and age gap, which are always favourites of mine. And this was such a thrilling book to read, which made for a super fun reading experience.

I received an arc of this book and this is my honest opinion

Listenedcto the audio. Loved the narrators. Absolutely loved the style it was written in! Amnesia, brothers best friend. Secret romance and murder mystery and she's the only witness.

Couldn’t put it down!

I totally read this in a few hours because I couldn’t stop!! Here’s a quick recap and my two cents.

Quick recap:

Brielle wakes in a hospital with friends and family surrounding her, but one person is missing. Her brother. As she’s asked questions, it becomes clear that she can’t remember the last 3 years of her life. But she needs to remember, because she’s the only one who knows who killed her brother.

My two cents:

I really enjoyed this book! It’s little bit of mystery and suspense and a whole lot of love. I really couldn’t put it down and luckily I started it at a time where I could devote a few hours to reading the whole thing!

There’s a little bit of sex in this book. Not much. So if you’re reading just for that, find a different book.

I’m going to go read the next book. I want to find out who Emmet and Holden wind up with! Give this book a try. I don’t think it’ll let you down. Happy reading y’all!

“We started off as nothing and she became everything. Now, it’s all gone. Every kiss. Every touch. Every fucking memory was erased.”

Um. I never thought I could love a book with the amnesia trope this much, but WOAH. this was so freaking good.

It was so well written and perfectly balanced. There was cute silly moments, emotional moments, spicy moments, gut-wrenching moments, laugh-out-loud moments suspenseful scary moments and everything in between.

“I spent my entire life searching for something worth fighting for, and you were in front of me the whole time. You saved me, Brielle, even if you don’t remember doing it.”

I love Spencer so much you guys. From the first chapter in his POV I literally was on my knees. The way he talks about Brielle and the pain he endured watching the woman he loved with everything he had forget she loved him, heartbreaking.

the entire premise of the book was good in my opinion, we’re trying to figure out who unalived Brielle’s brother, Isaac. Brielle wakes up with no recollection of the past three years and as the only eye witness, no one is allowed to share details with her as this could throw off the investigation.

tropes:
brother’s best friend
secret relationship
amnesia
small town romance
romantic suspense

I literally cried reading the first chapter. My heart literally broke for Spencer especially because the only thing she didn’t remember was the memories with him in it. I just sobbed the entire book <3

3.5/5 stars! This had a very interesting plot with memory loss and a murder mystery. I just couldn't connect to any of the characters which had me skipping through the majority of their dialogue.

This was very good. I’ll be honest, I went in thinking I wasn’t going to like it but because I love Corinne’s books so much (I’ve read all 30ish of them and have only disliked one) I felt like I should give it a try. Well I was so pleasantly surprised. The amnesia trope is so hit or miss and I’ll be honest I couldn’t care less about the “mystery” aspect of this book and still don’t really full buy into why everyone had to lie to Brielle the entire time but it was still very good. And Spencer was

Another heartfelt, sexy and beautiful story from Corinne!

I can always depend on Corinne to provide me with a story that’s beautiful, fun and sexy. Her stories are so well written that you just get sucked into them.

This particular story is a unique premise. A brother’s best friend, age gap, second chance all rolled up into one. When Brielle wakes up in a hospital having no memory of the last 3 years of her life you are taken on her journey of trying to regain her memory and decipher truth from lies. This is told in Dual POV with her and her lifelong friend, Spencer.

Spencer has been instructed along with everyone else in Brielle’s life to not give her any insight into the memories she is missing in hopes that when they do come back it will be unsolicited, unprovoked and her own thoughts in order to catch the man who put her in the hospital and killed her brother. He struggles with wanting to be honest about where his and Brielle’s friendship has been for the past year while also wanting to be able to respect the wishes of their friends and family when it comes to her recovery. Oh I felt so bad for him!

Throughout this book you are not only trying to solve a mystery but also watching two people fall in love while seeing their original journey as well. You’re watching a man who desperately loves a woman but can only help her so much while said woman still thinks they are friends from 3 years ago.

I enjoyed the overall premise of the book. It was a little wordy sometimes but the character development and storyline was very sweet, sexy and unique.
