Jessi Klein’s writing is spectacular; this book feels like having a deep, meaningful, belly-laughing good conversation with your best girlfriend after a couple of glasses of wine. She just gets it.

I loved so much of this book…Highlights include: Buster the butterfly, the perils of potty training, a letter to a future lesbian wide, stuffing party balloons in the back of a tiny Prius as a middle aged and JAMMIN’ to Beyoncé, watching the wizard of oz in the bathroom while you #2 and your toddler stares in amazement, feeling as though your husband will remarry 5 minutes after you die to a twentysomething baby he helps make TikTok’s, and having cracked callus feet that are turning into hooves.

Im not a mom or middle aged, but this book made me laugh out loud and feel a little less intimidated by trying to “have it all together”.
