I support women's rights but most importantly I support women's wrongs. Also polyam instead of a love triangle <3

however i think the writing is lacking and the world and character building just wasn't there esspecially i think the romace wasn't well developed. also it was marketed as a feminist read, which I don't really agree with. it kinda felt like a violent and shallow form of feminism to me. for example our fmc talks about how women annoy her and how much she hates being a women also all the other female characters either dies or like misogynistic so i think it could have been better in those aspects.

Morally grey characters, science fiction mixed with Chinese legends and an amazingly written polyamorous relationship at the centre. What more could someone ask for? This was such a fun, empowering and interesting read.

sadly not as good as i expected but still pretty good! the beginnign i loved the MOST - the pacing, the action, the writing even (my favourite quote abt how yizhi talks words like snowfall etc). i was very surprised with how fast it was going and then got used to it only for the middle to be a part where barely anything happens (yet stuff was happening in every chapter, very weird mix). i loved the trouple! also zetian is a great character, i love how impulsive she is and how quickly she changes her mind about things.

i really wish there was more hints about hunduns. i vaguely guessed what was happening but i think it could have been set up slightly nicer!

first person pov (book turn off of mine) but i really liked it

even if she went from killing one dude to. like everyone.

it wasn’t reliant on the relationships while still making them enjoyable

yizhi and shimin 🫶🫶

the plot was fun. probably won’t reread it for awhile but it was good. i’ve been meaning to get to it for like a year though and the prologue? uninteresting compared to the rest, for real.
