Oh wow.. this was just what I needed!
It’s a typical day but suddenly the world is turned upside down..a crack of some sort appears in the sky and it’s appearance brings about a change in those who look directly at it..
Those unfortunate turn blind and are full of rage.. the interesting part is not everyone is effected.. some are immune..
What I really enjoyed was the development of the blind, they aren’t simple savages.. they are smart and strong.. able to communicate and plan..how on earth can they be stopped.
I’m not going to spoil it for anyone but not only do we have the immune but there’s one individual who knows what’s coming.. he doesn’t have all the details but knows something is coming and when the worst happens he knows it’s time to pick his side..
I want to say it’s a typical zombie apocalypse.. but it’s not, it’s something completely different and fresh..while the blind act like zombies, they aren’t zombies.. they aren’t dead.. but can they be cured? Pfft I’m actually not sure how anyone will survive the onslaught.
The most interesting bit for me was the impulse people had to look at the crack when it appeared.. it’s like they can’t control themselves..
I liked the differing perspectives as multiple characters were introduced, there’s lots to take in but the pace is perfect. We then explore the issues the non-blind face in this new world they are forced to live in…no one knows how or when the crack will appear again.. but why would it only appear once? There’s lots of unknowns but some people act fast securing themselves as much as they can.. but can these doors hold?
The characters deal with difficult topics like dealing with loss but also about guilt.. to live they must fight..and sometimes it’s someone close to them.
Overall a dark and intense tale, the plot was fresh and intriguing and but a spin on the typical tales.
I’m really excited to continue with this series.

Wow, what a great start to a series, I really hope that the other books live up to this one. A completely different take on the apocalypse than most virus/zombie/rage books take and an interesting and original idea. A "crack" appears in the sky and people are drawn to look at it, but when they do it makes them blind and turns them into hate filled rage monsters! Plenty of dark, atmospheric moments and points where you don't think they will make it out alive. I can't wait to move on to the next book. However, there is a prequel advertised at the end which isn't on amazon so I'll be trying to read that through my tablet first, apparently it explains where the cracks are from.
Excellent story, can't wait to read on.

Interesting
It’s an interesting take on an apocalyptic journey. I like how the author didn’t waste time and just jumped into the action. There were moments that seemed to drag on with explanations that seemed unnecessary and I would find myself putting the book down for a bit and picking it up later. Some of the main characters felt underdeveloped and not relatable. I saw the ending coming, I just thought it would happen sooner. I gave the book four stars because it was different. In this genre, any original take on an apocalyptic story is refreshing. I do plan on reading the second book, I just hope the first book helped the author grow into the story more.

For me, the characters are hard to love. The plot feels focused on fighting/gore a lot, which isn’t necessarily bad. I do wish there was a bit more depth to the characters though. However, it’s gripping enough for me to continue the series!

This is an exciting and intense start to a new series. It's a frightening story and watching people change and fight to survive kept me hooked. I love the characters, they're real and I've become fully invested in them.
It's a unique story line with twists and turns that kept me glued to the pages. I can't wait for the next book to see where the story goes.
If you're looking for an exciting post apocalyptic story then you should definitely check out Blind Rage.

A page-turner.
A mysterious crack appears in the sky. When people look at it, their eyes turn white and they turn into monsters, driven by killing other people. Not all people. There are few that are immune.
Gina lost hearing for a few moments before the phenomenon and was able to snap out of it. The world went crazy before her eyes. She barely escaped her focus mainly on keeping her kids safe. Tommy got in trouble at school. On the way hope his stepfather is killed and he is left to run for his life, joining forces with Gina. Mark is one of the few that seem to be immune. His focus is more on saving his office girlfriends than going back home to his pregnant one. And then there is the agent, whose only focus is his daughter. There are people searching for the ones that are immune and will do anything to keep their family out of it.
We follow them as they are trying to navigate the new reality, trying to stay safe and figuring out what the hell is going on. :)
The crack disappears and comes back after a few hours. No one knows what is going on, or what to do.
I love it! :)
Pov switch fast from one person to another, often ending on a cliffhanger. It amps up the pace of the story with each chapter. I love that there is no intro period, just jumping string into the action.
Even though the story is very fast-paced, I missed a bit more of character development, something to me in, besides the action.
I can't wait to read what happens next and figure out what is happening. :)
