Very good! It made me feel for the characters and even a few years later, I still remember the heartfelt story. Wonderful read, and will definitely need to hang on to this for a long time.

It was a good touching book though at certain points, I felt the book was too slow. But overall it wa heart touching with a sweet message. The last line pretty much summed up the book and what I wanted for the character.

WOW! what an amazing book =] Beautifully written with amazing characters.
I didn't know what to expect when I started as this had been recommended by a friend a few years ago. As I read I just couldnt put it down, I HAD to know what was going to happen with Tess, if Charlie could move on and if Sam could be a man!
AMAZING - oh did i mention it made me cry :P
recommended to EVERYONE!!!!!!!

I loved the movie and wanted to pick up the book to get inside Charlie's head. I still enjoyed the story-- Charlie's love for Tess and how they fall in love and how he saves her are an absolutely wonderful story to be told and read and heard. I enjoyed the differences between the book and the movie. I loved that Tess meets Sam and can see him and thy connect. That was wonderful.
What made me take a second look at this book and the reason I wasn't completely satisfied with the book was that it seemed to do a lot of telling and quite a lot less showing. I felt like I got a lot of dialogue with a lot of telling of background that pulled me out of the scene and the story. I found myself wanting more of the dialogue scenes because that is where the story was to me.
I loved this story and I'm glad I picked up the book.

Charlie St.Cloud doesn't disappoint. The book was just how I remember the movie: naive but sweet, sad yet uplifting... The story of Charlie is very charming and I'm sure quite a few tears flew in memory of the little Sam - what a beautiful character! It's yet another take on "love conquers all", "love will cause a miracle" etc, but sometimes that's exactly what's needed ❤️

A really touching book. And way better than the movie.

The Life and Death of Charlie Saint Cloud was a bittersweet quick read that I thoroughly enjoyed. It told the story of the strength of a relationship of two brothers, finding love, and moving on after a tragedy. Even if you have already seen the movie, the book is worth the read for additional details and a deeper insight into the characters.
