This is a charming and quick read. Well written for something that could have been syrupy and trite, it shares a comforting, inspiring message and a story that is pleasant and gentle. Wonderful vacation or quick read.

I watched the movie 2 decades ago. I wanted to read this book ever since. This was one of the stories that melted my heart. This came upon me at the right time.

I really liked the story on this one -- thought it was very original -- and the overall message of the book: living your life to the fullest despite the trials that come your way. But I didn't feel a connection to any of the characters and I had to skip over about two pages there in the middle, which pretty much canceled out the originality factor.

A real sweet book, reminiscent of the five people you meet in heaven by Mitch albom. Gives a real sweet treat for a reader who wants an easy but distracting read. For people who believe in miracles and love stories, this is the book for you, for those who want more than a snack and want a full and heavy meal for a read, there's plenty of other books in the sea.

I wasn't to thrilled with this book as i was with the movie! But the parts with charlie and sam kept me reading I gotta say! It is a really heart warming book/movie and it touched me in so many ways I can't explain!

I have to admit that the only reason I picked this book up in the first place is because of Zac Efron. That and the fact that I don't like to see any movie based off of a book without reading the book first. It was actually a pretty good book. A little different from the movie, but that wasn't surprising.

“Je moet alleen je hart vrijmaken, je zintuigen scherpen en aandachtig zijn. Een blad, een ster, een lied, een lach. Let op die kleine dingen, want er is iemand die probeert je aan te raken. Er is iemand die van je houdt.”
