The Guilty

David Baldacci

3.95 AVERAGE

I read this book in just over 24 hours (and that includes sleeping time). I love David Baldacci's books and while my favorite series has always been the Camel Club series, Will Robie has quickly moved into the second favorite spot.

This book was probably my favorite in the series. So many characters. It was great to see Will's family and explore his background some. A great book that kept me on my toes and kept me from putting it down.

Enjoyable

Well written as always. The story kept me guessing. I like the Will Robie character and want to read more.

I just finished The Guilty by David Baldacci. This was indeed quite a page turner. In fact, do not start the last thirty-five pages unless you intend to finish the book. Will Robie is the government's best sniper and assassin. However, after he kills a child in error, and then fantasizes about another “kill,” he is given time off. He goes back to his small town in Cantrell, Mississippi. His father has been charged with murder. He has not seen his father in about twenty years as they are estranged. There are many more killings as the plot gets thicker. This story would make a good film. -Bob K.

Plot or Character Driven: Character

Will Robie is one of the best characters in fiction and this installment is the best yet. Compelling, tightly plotted with great twists and turns it also provides a lot of character backstory which explains a lot of the character's behavior. Highly recommended.

I liked it

It was good but a little odd

The 4th installment in the Will Robie series and the series is still going strong. I actually think the series is getting better? I won't go into details about the story given that it's the middle of a series and would hate to give spoilers. The writing is still just as great as the first book and the characters are still just as likeable. I really like the character development over the series, you think you know them but each story gives you another bit of their life that endears them to you a little bit more. Excellent mix of action, mystery, conspiracy, and dare I say, heart. I will continue with Robie!

Definitely not my favorite Baldacci book. Drawn out plotlines, Will Robie didn't seem like Will Robie.
