I love how Adrienne Young transitions her books. This felt like a true continuation of the utterly beautiful story in Fable. The characters are solid yet continue to evolve with the drama around them. I thoroughly enjoyed the journey through Fable's story and I feel like it truly has a great ending.

This might even be 2.5 stars. I enjoyed the first book. The setting was awesome and the romance was pretty good if a bit instalove-y. I would have forgiven that had their relationship developed in this sequel. It did not. They just fought the whole time and kept secrets from each other. I was not rooting for them to stay together.

The FMC kept falling into traps and the climax was watching her dad’s brilliant plan unfold to take down the villain. She did nothing. This was unsatisfying.
