Wilde’s best play bar far, a dry comedy that entertains and delights.

Hilarious and entertaining. A fun, short read. Not exactly sure why I’ve put off reading it till now.

I had to study this play as part of my GCSE Drama course (I played Lady Bracknall :-P) and I loved every part of it. Oscar Wilde is a wonderful playwright and this play is everything I love about his writing. It's funny and slightly absurd which is everything that Wilde is meant to be.

This is a great play to read but an even better play to see performed, most of the humour comes from the way the lines are delivered and the ways that the actors move around the stage. The absurdity of the story is what makes this such a wonderful piece of literature/drama. Everyone should read and/or watch this play!
