I was pleasantly surprised by this book. I had low expectations, but liked it. The one thing I struggled with is that Ratajkowski does exist as the body ideal so as someone who isn't, there definitely is the sentiment that maybe she doesn't get the true fat phobia in the world. With that being said, I loved all the thoughts she brought up about how women's bodies are commodified.

Really enjoyed this book and the various avenues it explores throughout, and how they intersect so clearly and subtly

would be 4 stars if this stayed in its lane as a memoir instead of attempting to inhabit the category of seminal feminist texts
